Well i have to say that i had such a great surprise the other day. i had posted that i was feeling ill and that my diabetes was out of kilter. well to cheer me up, slysidonia  sent me a care package. It was loaded with all kinds of beads for crafting, a lovely sterling goddess pendant, a long scarf that i will use as a runner and a velvet purple scarf that i will wear. Also in the very bottom was this beautiful drawing that she did. i love it and plan to frame it. So thank you so much slysidonia for the wonderful gifts, it made me so happy to know that i was thought of.

   this is how i feel! i need a nap! i have to apologize for not posting, and i owe some and for not answering my friends posts. i do read them, i am just a bit under the weather and just don't have enough energy to do much. i am trying to clean the house today in dribs and drabs. it looks like a bomb went off! maybe i will try to make a piece of jewelry, at least that's cheery!  so i will have a little break here, but i'm really not going anywhere.  :-)

 Just sitting here and really missing the salt water and air. I started to think about Robert Moses State parks and Fire Island. Here are some pictures of the lighthouse on Fire Island. My Mom lived there for awhile as a little girl. (she lived in the lighthouse) She loves the ocean too and loved being in the lighthouse. She explains how different it was to be there than on land, off the island. The one memory that she will never forget was when German subs were spotted right there off the shore (this was during the war)  That was  scary, especially when you are a young child. All in all i think that she had really good times living there.

   102 degrees and it is only early afternoon! well, i will be staying in today doing some crafting. i am waiting on one more order of beads to start a necklace that i have in mind. etsy has really come to my rescue for beads, since i no longer live near any bead shops.........

  well i got  the beginning phases of a few things going but was only able to make just this one necklace today. the colors of the beads are very soft and pretty. it reminds me of a summer day.

 well it cooled off so nicely that i let monk go out into the garage. she loves it out there and screams to go out. she likes to hunt spiders and i'm sure she can find them out there. well yesterday she found a new place to sleep, in my car! i left the windows open and she was very happy.......... i also got some new beads in the mail from fivesisters on etsy. their beads are all gorgeous. i have been in such a beading mood and i just can't get enough of them. i wish there was a bead store close by. thank goodness for the net!       fivesisters.etsy.com

15 years ago this June............ I got on a plane with my best friend Andi. we flew from New York to Oklahoma to attend one of the largest Native American Festivals..... Red Earth Pow Wow and art show. this was truly one of my best vacations. we got to meet up with lots of our friends from all over the states and that's where i met Greg. met in june, married in january. yep, the best vacation ever.

  well monday is finally here and almost gone. this had been a sad weekend. my nephew (for ease of explaining how his is related to me) races cars. i went to the races last summer to watch him and was a nervous wreck the whole time. he and his best friend left work early fri to take "C"'s car up to iowa to race. well C was in a wreck while racing, airlifted to a hospital and pronounced dead 6 hours later. R witnessed the accident and was at his side till the end. so you can only imagine how this has affected everyone. C also left behind a wife and two children. i have met him on occasion and i know he will be greatly missed.................................... we never know what is down the road for us. always tell the people you love that you do love them. never go to bed angry. be kind to everyone. i was lucky in the sense that i did get to say i love you to greg (every day) and i did get to say good bye. we agreed that we would meet each other on the other side................................... so the sad weekend is over and monday is here. i got some beautiful gifts frompascalbijou . we did a trade for something i made and she sent me a beautiful necklace, hand made card, a hand made box, and some really good smelling soap. all of this came at a good time........................... i also got to talk to one of my friends sun night till almost 1 am. we hung up because my phone battery went dead! you know who you are and i always enjoy our chats! so now this week begins............ i take dad for some minor surgery wed. and i hope that's all the excitement for the week........................      check out pascalbijou's etsy site at www.pascal4aqua.etsy.com

   
today i spent the day reorganizing my craft room/closet. i feel so great to be organized again. i also framed some old pictures of my grandmother on her wedding day and my dad making his first holy communion. it was a peaceful day.

    well i thought i would get a head start on memorial day........ i went to the rural cemetery where some of greg's ashes are buried. i took the old pictures off the stone and put new ones there of his babies. greg would have HATED flowers. took some time to reflect and make it a special day.  memorial day is to remember, i chose to remember the good. i thought about all the fun we had and and things we had done. i am grateful. then i realized that i am grateful for alot..........  the time i did have with greg, my family, my fuzzy babies, my friends, and everyday that i get to spend on mother earth.
